Getting a custom outfit made with Carolyn is an exclusive and unique experience. She will personally work with you from your first consultation to your wedding day, designing, cutting, fitting, and perfecting your bespoke look herself.
“It starts by getting an idea of what the bride loves and gravitates towards, that might start with a Pinterest or mood board, or it might be inspired from some of my existing styles. Following that I will create some sketches, and work with you to guide you on which colours and fabrics work together. Fabrics can include anything from beautiful French lace & Italian tulle, to custom embroideries and the finest silks.”
Once the design is decided, the pattern is drafted, and 1-2 cotton toiles (test garments) are made, to your own very specific measurements. The fit is perfected as much as possible before cutting the final garment. Depending on the design, inner bra cups and boning are made from scratch, so it is sculpted and moulded to your unique body shape.
Each design varies, but brides can expect to have at least 1 fitting in toile fabric and 1-2 in the final fabric. It is advisable to start the process at least 6 months prior to your wedding, but rush orders can be accommodated so please get in touch if you have less time.
